![]() This is Lords of the Fallen: ponderous and unwelcoming. Two colossal soldiers are carved into the mountain on either side of the entrance, warning you of the blood that will soon be spilled. The massive chains that connect your destination to the bridge must have taken hundreds of hours to forge. Ahead of you lies the gaping maw of a demonic temple hungry for your flesh. The view from this bridge says more about this world than words can convey. Lords of the Fallen means to choke you with smoke and poison, and to crush you between the stone slabs that line its monumental suspended bridge. Snowy peaks may rise in the distance, but you will not be breathing in their refreshing air. Lords of the Fallen's dramatic citadel and hushed monastery are suffering from the invasion of otherworldly flesh-monsters and armored behemoths. ![]() "World" might be too generous a word, actually: You spend most of your time in corridors and combat arenas, not gazing onto spacious landscapes. Harkyn himself is not easy to love, but ultimately, he doesn't matter as much as the world he serves and the hammers he swings. Harkyn may not be delighted by the adventure he's been thrust into, but I can claim no such apathy: Lords of the Fallen is a dark-fantasy pleasure, cut from the same cloth as Dark Souls, yet distinct enough to earn its own spotlight and, perhaps, to earn your affection as well. He exits conversation not with a goodbye, but with a gruff "I don't care," as if he can barely be bothered to embark on the quest at hand. Cannot hit you if you are close to him when it's fired, so just run at him and hit him.His name is Harkyn. The commanders emits a really weird sounds then points his swords at you, which will soon send a ray of energy that will track onto you with decent capacity. You can sit behind him and attack him while he is firing the projectiles. Plants his sword in the ground and hides behind his shield, it will fire 5 projectiles in an arc in the directions it's facing. Side Note: if you don't kill the spawned enemies fast enough t he Commander will just come out of his wall of shields, and you will have to deal with 2 enemies. You cannot attack through these shields.ĭepending on his health bar, he will summon: 1 large but slow enemy, 1 fast enemy, or 1 of each. He will also deliver another tremor at his feet, and immerse himself in a circle of shields. ![]() The Commander plants his sword into the ground, which summons 1 to 2 enemies, depending on how low his health bar is. Start running to it left as soon as you see it swing his twirl his sword. This is the hardest to dodge and easier to block but if you want to win it challenge, don't block. You can dodge each wave by rolling, but the higher wave can be blocked with a shield. This move can hit you 2-4 time if you got hit by it blade and it waves together at the same time when you are too close. The Commander winds up his blade which will shoot 1-2 waves of magic. You can easily avoid this by keeping your distance or dodging. The Commander Slashes twice, doing damage. The Commander Lunges at you with his sword covering a large distance forward, doing a mediocre amount of damage. The tremor causes large balls of light to fall from the sky which dealĭamage on impact, you can avoid these by sitting near his backside after he finishes the initial tremor AoE. The Commander smashes his shield on the ground, causing a tremor that will knock you back. The feeling of accomplishment is definitely there. Other than that the fight is mind numbing, but after a few tries at this fight, Make it snappy though or else he willĬome back up and you'll have to deal with multiple enemies, which is very pesky. When he casts 'Ally Summon', just kill the enemies that he summons, and continue fighting. ![]() Staying close to The Commander lowers the chances of him casting lengthy, abilities that provide you with no opportunity to do any damage. You will only be able to sneak in 1 to 3 attacks depending on your weaponry (Using your gauntlet is also a viable alternative). Roll away from the tremor and go in to attack. ![]() Stay close to him, just waltz a little with him until he performs 'Shield Smash'. He often summons enemies to aid him in battle. The Commander is a Boss you face in Lords of the Fallen.įound in the Square of the Heroes in the Monastery, this boss has several varied attacks with a long reach. ![]()
